Cruisin' on our Fun Ship - Part V - Puerto Vallarta

Next stop was Puerto Vallarta!  The weather was more overcast but a lot warmer!  Much more humid than Cabo!  It took us a minute to figure out where we were going to go for the day but we ended up in a really cool spot!

Now it's Zoë's turn!  What a day!

After all that fun it was Mardi Gras night on the deck!  So after nap it was time to head up and party!!

And look who ended up with beads?!  We know who the party animal is!  LOL!!

Cruisin' on our FunShip - Part IV - Cabo

So...we made it to Cabo!  Down to the tender we go to get to land!

Now that we're on land, how do we get to the beach?!  Yeah...interesting!  We took one of those water taxi's.  Ehh...scary!  But that was an experience we'll all never forget!  Here are some pictures from our 2 days in Cabo.

After the first day at the beach the kids were pooped!!  After they showered they were passed out!

 Day 2 in Cabo we decided to stay on the boat and hang out down by the pool!  It was just too much work to get back down to the beach.

Now for those of you who know Dav, you know that he's afraid of water!  Look how far he got with Tito's help!  Pretty impressive!

Cruisin' on our FunShip - Part III

I don't even know how many parts this blog is going to be!  I took so many pictures on this vacay it's ridiculous!  Not really cause that's what I like to do but I'm sure Aaron thought it was!  LOL!  I didn't think about how I'm going to narrow this all down!  Yikes!

Well...here it goes!!  Here's our first day at the pool!  The only downside about the pool was that the water was sea water and if your child was not potty trained (meaning...out of diapers...so that meant Zoë) they were not allowed in the pool (CA law they claimed)!  But at least she was able to put her feet in the water and that was good enough for her!

Someone had too much fun out in the sun!  Guess it's nap time!!  We'll make that nap time for all of us!  And that was the best part about vacay!  We took naps when the kids did!  It's exhausting being out in the sun with kids and drinking in that heat!

Cruisin' on our Funship - Part II

 There it is!  Our ship!  Our home for the next week!!

 

And it's time to set sail!!

So...I'm sure you're interested to see how "big" our room was, huh?!  Oh...it was a tight squeeze but we made it work!  With a crib and all!  Wanna see??

Good thing Dav's bed folded down from the ceiling, right?!  Anyway, off to our first dinner we go!!  Our dinner dining was at 8pm every night!  If we didn't want to have a sit down dinner we can always hit up the buffet or 24 hour room service.  But who would want to miss out on the entertainment and sit down dining?!  Here are the kids!  All ready for dinner!

Dinner was good (every night) but the one thing Dav and I loved and had to have EVERY night was their chocolate melting cake!!  Delish!!!

Cruisin' on our FunShip - Part I

For Christmas Aaron's parents bought us all a family vacation on a Carnival Cruise to Cabo & Puerto Vallarta.  We were all excited and couldn't wait to go!  This was my family's first time on a cruise ship so I was a little nervous on how everyone was going to do!  Actually, I was probably most nervous for myself.  I get motion sickness and I had no idea how I would do but I made sure to pack lots of Dramamine just in case!

Speaking of packing....oh...packing for two kids was pretty interesting!  OMG!  I felt like I had to pack my whole house!  Especially with one of them being under 1.  I had to make sure we packed enough diapers, wipes, clothes, food, formula, etc.  I still had to pack the bottle warmer cause Zoë wouldn't drink her bottles at room temperature.  But we got everything packed.  And had to pay extra for our overweight baggage!  Great!!

Anyway...so off we went!  We left EARLY Sunday morning.  Our flight was at 6am out of Sacramento so we arrived at the airport somewhere around 4am!  Dav was really excited to ride the airplane!  And both kids did really well on the flight!  Here's a pic of them on the plane!

We made it!  We're here at the Long Beach airport!

After arriving in Long Beach we just hung out there at the airport for a few hours!  We couldn't board the ship until around noon anyway.  An hour passed here...it passed there...and then there...and then....it was time to head to the port!  Yay!!!  So tired of sitting in that little crowded airport!
