Paint Project

Since it was Memorial weekend Aaron and I decided to paint the inside of our house! We felt like we needed to dress our house up to reflect our personalities! We decided to go with a lighter beige color than our family room along with a few accent walls. We knew that this was going to be a BIG project and didn't realize how much time it was actually going to take us! But with the 3-day weekend we thought we could paint ALL-DAY Saturday so that we can rest Sunday and Monday and still feel like we had a weekend.

Aaron's parents watched Dav for us on Saturday just so we can get it all done. We didn't start until 10am and we only stopped for lunch and dinner! We were hoping to finish by 10pm but that didn't happen. We asked Aaron's parents if Dav could stay the night there and we would just pick him up in the morning and thank goodness they were ok with that! So away we went!

Hours later (I mean hours later!)...I was getting really tired and yelled down to Aaron to see how he was doing! He was tired as well. I asked him what time it was and we both realized that we needed to stop and get some sleep! We didn't want to stop because were almost finished and all we had left was half of the upstairs hallway and the trimming in the main entry but it was already 4:30am! YES!!! 4:30AM!! We did a quick clean up of all the paint stuff, took a quick shower then laid down and closed our eyes for a few hours!

4 hours later....we got up and finished painting and touching up the walls! 24 hours of painting later everything that we had planned to paint is finally finished and we are very happy with how everything turned out!! I absolutely LOVE it and can't believe that we did this all on our own (and without fighting...hahaha!)!!!

I had to take a picture of Aaron painting the main entry! It was one of the scariest moments for us!! Yikes!
