4th of July Weekend

I love 3-day weekends!! Especially when I have plans!! This 4th of July weekend was packed with all kinds of events!

Let's start with Saturday...
My oldest nephew JD plays for the Fairfield Atlantic Little League team and this is the first year that he was asked to play on the All-Star Team! I'm very impressed with how much he has improved in the last year!  I mean he's really AWESOME!! We were very excited to go to his first All-Star game and it was even more exciting when his team won their first game!

After the game, it was right around Davin's nap time so we headed home, had lunch and put Davin down for a nap. While he was asleep, Aaron and I re-painted our living room! When we first moved into our house the color we had picked to paint the walls didn't exactly turn out the way we liked.  Anyway...here's the before and after picture of the living room!

I love it so much more and the best part....we were able to paint the room in 4 hours! Aaron and I were so glad that it did not take any longer than that! After that we headed to my sister's for dinner, the UFC fight (Lesner vs. Carwin) and some wine! =)

On Sunday, we decided to take Davin to the movies! We watched Toy Story 3 and it was in 3D! Dav absolutely loves to wear sunglasses so wearing the 3D glasses was not a problem! We all got to eat some popcorn and enjoy the movie!

After the movie, it was nap time (as usual) so after nap time we headed over to my parents for swimming & bbq!  My sister Kate bought a decent size pool for the backyard.  It's about 2 1/2- 3 feet and the kids absolutely love swimming in it!

After hours of swimming, it was time to shower and finally get our grub on!  Yum...I love my parents bbq!  It's the best!

Just as the sun was starting to set we decided to take a walk to the park in my parents neighborhood to watch the fireworks.  My parents don't live far from the Suisun Waterfront so we're able to see the fireworks from there without having to deal with any traffic!

Monday...game #2 for JD and the All-Stars Team!  Geez....this game was a nail biter!  We were down 1-5 in the fourth inning but things turned around and we ended up winning 13-5!  Woo-hoo!
