Prepping for her arrival

Last night the RN from Labor & Delivery called me to confirm what time we needed to be at Kaiser for my scheduled C-section.  We had to be there between 5-6am to be admitted so the procedure can start by 8am.

As soon as we checked in we were placed in the recovery room where they would prep me before the procedure and where I will be after before transferring to postpartum.  I immediately had to change into the awesome gown Kaiser provides for the mother and then hooked up to a few monitors to monitor the baby's heart and contractions (if any).  I was right...those little pains I had been feeling yesterday were little contractions.  Hubby was also provided with something to wear in the surgery room.
